Steven C. Allen PT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT
- is the Director for TAI Liberty Lake Physical Therapy He received his PT degree from the University of Southern California in 1977. He has practiced orthopaedic manual therapy in the outpatient setting, and received his OCS (1989), COMT (1996) and Fellowship with AAOMPT (1999). Steve is a graduate of the NAIOMT Residency Program and a Clinical Instructor at Eastern Washington University. He is on the Board of Directors of NAIOMT.
Ben Bleazard PT, DPT
- Ben completed his BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Utah in 1998. He spent the next six years working as a research biochemist in both academic and industrial settings, where he was the first to characterize a protein vital to normal cell division. He went on to graduate first in his class from the Division of Physical Therapy at The University of Utah in 2007. Ben was the varsity tackle on his nationally ranked high school football team and he is an internationally certified second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He was the chief Tae Kwon Do instructor at The University of Utah from 1998 to 2001. Currently, Ben is pursuing his interest in orthopaedic physical therapy with Therapeutic Associates, Inc in Eugene, Oregon. In his free time, he enjoys motorcycling, camping, and literature.
Robert Bowker PT
- is the Director of the Transitional Care and Acute Rehab Unit at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Rehabilitation services at the Medical Center have been provided by Therapeutic Associates on a contract basis since 1960. Specializing in Geriatrics and post acute care, Robert has been with Therapeutic Associates' hospital division since his graduation from Children's Hospital in Los Angeles in 1982.
Amber Chenoweth DPT
- Amber Chenoweth received her undergraduate degree in exercise physiology from Montana State University. She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in Missoula. Amber has experience in orthopaedics, manual therapy, and sports rehabilitation. She is currently working in an out-patient Therapeutic Associates clinic in Seattle, Washington. Outside of physical therapy, Amber’s interests include running, cycling, and backpacking.
David Deppeler PT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT
- is an American Physical Therapy Association Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. As a certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist, he is a an instructor and board member for the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). David is the Director of Clinical Education and has been with Therapeutic Associates since 1997. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Chuck Hanson PT, OCS
- is the Director of TAI's Lake City location near Seattle, WA, and has been a Therapeutic Associates shareholder since 1995. A 1979 graduate of the University of Maryland, Chuck's specialty are in Orthopaedic with a focus on the foot and ankle. He has taught many courses to physical therapists and podiatrists on Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle conditions and rehabilitation techniques.
Valerie Hilton PT
- Valerie earned a B.S. double major in Exercise and Movement Science and General Science from the University of Oregon, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2003. She then continued her schooling at the University of Puget Sound and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2006. Valerie and her husband Matt were married in 2006. They enjoy backpacking, day-hiking, snow-skiing, water-skiing, and other outdoor activities.
Chris Hoekstra PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT
- Chris is director of TAI Forest Grove Physical Therapy. He graduated from Pacific University with both a Masters of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and Certified in Manual Physical Therapy. He is currently completing a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapy through NAIOMT. In addition to his clinical work, Chris is an Instructor of Orthopaedics at Pacific University School of Physical Therapy with an emphasis on the spine and upper extremity.
Evan Jones PT, OCS
- is the Director of Valley Physical Therapy North (Salem, OR) and a Therapeutic Associates shareholder. An Orthopaedic Certified Specialist from the American Physical Therapy Association, he joined Therapeutic Associates in 1977 immediately after receiving his degree from the University of Iowa. Evan served as the team trainer for the Portland Timbers (NASL) from 1978-1981, and continues to specialize in sports injuries and lectures for the Oregon Institute of Sports Medicine.
Amy Temes DPT
- Amy Temes received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in Missoula. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and Spanish from the University of Puget Sound. Amy has experience working in vestibular and balance rehab, orthopaedics, manual therapy, and sports rehabilitation. She is published in the Journal of Isokinetics and Exercise Science for her co-authorship on "Influence of an isometric fatiguing exercise on the length and passive-elastic properties of the calf muscle-tendon unit of minimally active young women". In addition to working as a physical therapist, Amy’s interests include running, cycling, triathlons, skiing, honing her skills in the garden, and cooking.
Bill Temes PT, MS, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT
- Bill received a Certificate in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1974 and earned his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1979. He became OCS certified in 1996 and received his COMT in 1994. He is a graduate of the NAIOMT residency program, receiving his Fellowship with the AAOMPT in 1998. He has studied and worked extensively in acute and chronic spinal pain and orthopaedics. Bill is employed by Therapeutic Associates as the Director of the Supervised Clinical Placement Program. In addition to teaching, Bill currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for NAIOMT and Assistant Director of the NAIOMT Fellowship Program. He practices at West Eugene Physical Therapy in Eugene, Oregon.
Karen Walz PT, MA, OCS, COMT
- is the Director for TAI Central Oregon Physical Therapy's Work Kinetics program, is a board certified manual physical therapist, and has lectured nationally on Occupational Rehabilitation topics. A 1984 graduate of Stanford University’s School of Medicine Physical Therapy program, she has specialized in Work Injury Management and Prevention for the last 18 years. She consults with numerous employers in Central Oregon for ergonomic and prevention services.
Beth Welander PT, DPT
- Beth Welander received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry & Spanish from Washington State University in 2004. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado in 2007. Currently, she works in orthopaedic physical therapy in Port Angeles, Washington. She serves as Clinic Coordinator of Clinical Education and teaches pre-operative classes for patients undergoing total joint replacements. Outside of clinic, Beth enjoys singing with her women’s barbershop group, dancing, hiking, camping, and competing in triathlons.
