About Us

2000s

The 2000s have seen continued growth of the company, in terms of number of clinics (we now have over 65 facilities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California), staffing (administrative and clinical), programming (Orthopaedic Residency Training Program started in 2007, e.g.), and offerings (as several of our clinics have developed unique specialty programs utilizing traditional PT methods, as well as concepts of preventative medicine and wellness approaches).

The following excerpt of an article written by CEO Steve Anderson PT, DPT for TAI’s bi-annual magazine, Therapeutic Outlook, demonstrates how the spirit and vision of Jim McKillip and Bob Dicus are alive and well in TAI today:

Very few companies are able to sustain their mission and stay in business beyond the working life of their founder. It takes a great visionary and strong core values handed down throughout the entire organization for a legacy to continue. Physical therapists Jim McKillip and Robert Dicus started a private practice physical therapy company built on mentoring, shared success, exceptional patient care and customer service, and never losing sight of what is most important–meeting the patients’ needs and helping them reach their physical potential. This shared vision has been handed down to generations of PTs and employees of TAI and remains our focus.

As a learning organization, TAI strives everyday to improve our clinical expertise through education, mentoring and shared experience. We believe in the lifelong goal of always finding ways to improve and passing that insight along. TAI has earned a reputation as a leader in rehabilitation by our positive outcomes with patient treatments and a nurturing environment that empowers professionals to develop into exceptional healthcare providers. It is my goal to honor the vision of our founders by continuing to develop TAI as the rehabilitation provider of choice. Companies that remain in business for 60 years do so for a reason. They have shown that meeting the needs of both the consumer and their employees ensures they will be around to continue the legacy for future generations.
