Therapeutic Associates – Forest Grove Director Scott Hein: Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist
Forest Grove, OR – Therapeutic Associates, Director Scott Hein, PT, DPT has received his Board Certified Clinical Specialist Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy.
To become a “Board Certified Clinical Specialist” it is mandated that individuals must complete 2,000 hours of direct patient care in the specialty area of orthopaedics. Specialist must also pass a rigorous examination that tests the application of advanced knowledge and clinical skills through a written board exam on orthopaedic physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).
Scott treats clients with any musculoskeletal injury and has a special interest in athlete rehabilitation, general knee and postsurgical impairments, shoulder dysfunction, low back/core rehabilitation, functional geriatric physical therapy, and foot/ankle care. Scott’s treatment philosophy is to give superior evidence-based care in a professional, open, and caring manner.
Scott received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and his B.S. in Exercise & Movement Science from the University of Oregon. He is also certified in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (The ASTYM™ System). Congratulations Scott on this great achievement!
