Youth Athletics

Hoopfest22007Each year there are roughly 3.5 million injuries requiring some time away from participation. Almost one-third of all injuries sustained in childhood are sports related, with strains and sprains being the most common injury.

As physical therapists, our training and clinical experience provide a unique knowledge base to offer our communities with respect to injury prevention for athletes. It is in our nature as professionals to give back to our communities, and Therapeutic Associates has a long and rich history of sharing our expertise on physical health. We are very involved in youth athletics and have developed an injury prevention program by sport to help keep youths healthy and active.

If you are a coach, young athlete, or parent, use the below links to find more information about sport-specific, dynamic warm up; performance enhancement; and injury prevention. Our goal is to become your resource for injury prevention, performance enhancement, and rehabilitation. We have done the research and have developed evidence-based programs with our youths in mind. Our people are here to help and are happy to present this information to any group, large or small, to ensure proper implementation. Please contact a TAI Clinic near you for additional information.
