Dr. Chris Leck’s Sports Clinical Specialist certification

Canyon Park Physical Therapy is proud to announce that our clinic director, Dr. Chris Leck, has been board certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Less than 0.1% of physical therapists are Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialists, according to ABPTS, and Dr. Leck is the only physical therapist in the Northshore Community to hold this certification.
To gain eligibility for certification, Dr. Leck achieved over 2,000 hours of direct patient care in the clinical sports setting and was required to demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge proficiency in this specialized area of practice. This ABPTS certification demonstrates that Dr. Leck strives to provide the highest possible level of physical therapy care. From diagnosis to discharge, adult and youth athletes can feel confident they are receiving the best sports physical therapy in the area.
