Marathon Moment – Week 11

A Marathon Moment…with Cindy F.
6 days to go! I am getting pretty excited to be this close to accomplishing the goal. Last week, me and my running buddy Nikki, ran 23 miles! So I am feeling pretty confident that we can do this. Now I am just hoping for decent weather (when I say decent, I don’t mean sunny skies and a temp of 75 degrees…that would be amazing, but I would be happy with the skies not pouring rain down the entire morning and not having the wind blow it sideways).
This has been a wonderful journey, one that I will always remember. I am so very grateful for the healthy body I have, that allows me to run a block, let alone the distance between Keizer and Albany. My birthday is Tuesday May 3 and I will be 44 years old…so for those of you who have thought that running a marathon was for younger runners..I am proof that you are never too old to get moving.
