About Myofascial Release Treatment

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures cause Myofascial restrictions that may produce significant tensile pressures on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc). Myofascial Release is a hands-on therapy technique that provides treatment for a variety of conditions without the use of drugs. Most of our patients have benefited from Myofascial Release in one form or another. In many cases of unexplained pain and trauma that have not responded to traditional medicine and/or physical therapy, our use of different Myofascial Release techniques has been the key to recovery.

Matt Booth, PT, DPT has a high interest in manual therapy that has led to extensive training in Myofascial Release. Currently, he is one of only three PT’s in the nation to have certified training in the Fascial Distortion Model.
