Nov 15 – Webinar to Highlight Recent Direct Access Study Results
A new study published in the journal Health Services Research found that direct access to physical therapists is associated with lower costs and fewer visits. The study, published ahead of print September 23, was funded by a grant from APTA, the Private Practice Section and the Health Policy & Administration Section.
On Tuesday, November 15 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm Eastern, the study researchers will present an overview of their findings during a free Webinar. In addition, APTA staff members will discuss the implications of the findings for the physical therapy profession and the health care system and provide an overview of some tools and resources used to promote the study to members and other audiences. If you would like to participate, please RSVP to Tanisha Miller:Â tanishamiller@apta.org.
