Offering Programs To Help With Incontinence
Are you dreading a day when you have to buy your first box of Depends? Don’t worry! As we covered in our June clinic newsletter, incontinence is NOT a normal part of aging. In fact, the only “normal” effects of aging on going to the bathroom are:
- Less warning that you need to go
- Urine production occurring more at night
However, if you’re going to the bathroom more frequently than 5-7 total trips per day, with an average interval between urination of 2-5 hours, you might be dealing with incontinence. Physical therapy can help. Incontinence and bladder training fall under the umbrella of “Women’s Health” Programs, but they’re not just for women.
