Therapeutic Associates traces its roots to California. This is where our first practice opened in 1952. Shortly thereafter, in 1954, we engaged in a contract with Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. We have maintained this contract and our relationship with the organization ever since. Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is a large, hospital-based center within the highly regarded Providence Health System. Campus-wide rehab departments include Acute Care, Transitional Care Unit, Inpatient, Outpatient, Work Comp, Hand Clinic, Home Health and Women’s Health, with specialties in orthopaedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, neonatal, general medical, and oncology. Our therapists provide the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy services for all departments of the hospital.
In the early 1990s, we started a similar contract with the Motion Picture Television Fund (MPTF). We provide the inpatient and outpatient Physical Therapy services for the MPTF’s main campus in Woodland Hills and for all of its outpatient, orthopaedic clinics in Los Angeles and the surrounding area. The MPTF is a primary resource for a breadth of care and services for the union and non-union entertainment community. Thus, their facilities exclusively treat patients in the entertainment industry. Our goal is to provide the highest level of rehab care to these members.
