Therapeutic Associates Physical & Occupational Therapy at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center (PSJMC) provides contracted physical & occupational therapy services to patients ranging from newborn to end of life. With 431 licensed patient beds, Providence Saint Joseph is the largest hospital serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.

The Physical & Occupational Therapy department has an active staff of 25 physical therapists, 5 physical therapy assistants, 6 occupational therapists, 1 certified occupational therapist assistant, and several aides and support staff. The Department provides internships for PT, PTA, and OT students throughout the year from professional programs all over the country.

Services provided by Therapeutic Associates Physical & Occupational Therapy at PSJMC include progressive physical therapy for joint replacements, back/neck injuries and surgeries, CVA and other neurological conditions/surgeries, vestibular, oncology, vascular, cardiac, ICU early mobility, and general medical/surgical conditions. The medical center has three therapy gyms on patient floors, including one each on the acute rehabilitation, neurological, and orthopaedic units.

The Acute Rehabilitation Unit at PSJMC offers comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients who need intensive rehabilitation in a hospital setting. This unit has been nationally recognized with CARF Accreditation (Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and has been recognized by HealthGrades for exceptional clinical outcomes in stroke care.

In keeping with this philosophy, we coordinate continuing care after discharge from the Medical Center with either our Disney Family Cancer Center (which offers Lymphedema and Oncolgy Rehabilitation and Outpatient Physical, Occupational, and Hand Therapy) or Home Health services.
