Derek received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2006 from the University of Montana in Missoula Montana and his B.S. in Exercise Science from Rocky Mountain College in Billings Montana. Derek is both a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Manual Therapist (CMPT). In addition he has also been certified in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (The ASTYM™ System).

His clinical emphasis is in orthopaedics, with a focus on biomechanical analysis and treatment of the extremities and spine. He also focuses on Men’s Health with experience in both pelvic and low back pain treatment. In addition to Physical Therapy, he has a background in athletic enhancement with emphasis on proper running and cycling technique.

Derek also integrates video, computer analysis, and ultrasound technology to help further improve his patients and athlete’s outcomes.

Derek enjoys providing quality health care for the Nampa community. When not directing the clinic and treating patients, you can find him out with his wife Bridgett kayaking on the Payette Rivers, mountain biking, either Telemark or Alpine skiing at the local ski hill, competing in triathlons, and coaching.
