Boise Physical Therapy @Parkcenter

About the Clinic

Our Parkcenter clinic sees a wide variety of patients with conditions including work-related aches and pains, low back and neck pain, overuse injuries in recreational activities, post-operative rehab, chronic pain, TMJ dysfunction, pelvic pain and incontinence, and tendonitis issues. We sponsor many athletic groups and help with injury prevention and technique clinics, with a focus on groups that cater to entry-level athletes and newcomers. Our clinic strives to stay ahead with the latest techniques and technology to get you better faster.

We work hard to use the best methods to reduce pain and improve function. We educate our patients on their condition and self-help methods so that they are less likely to have recurrences of their condition. We use techniques, such as Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM), Myofascial Release, and joint mobilization and manipulation as appropriate. All of our therapists take advanced manual therapy training through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). Our director has had advanced training in palpation skills through ultrasound imaging to better teach patients detailed, deep muscle activation re-education.

Matt Booth PT, DPT’s Ultimate Bucket List

As an endurance sport athlete currently training for Ironman Arizona, if I created my "ultimate bucket list" it would include the following: Ironman Hawaii (the granddaddy of them all) Ironman Lanzarote (considered the toughest on the Ironman circuit) Boston Marathon (you to do Boston) The original marathon in Greece (remember Phidippides?) Western States 100 (California ultramarathon with 18,000 feet of climbing) Leadville 100 (mountain biking in the high altitude of Colorado) Race Across America (3,000-mile bike race) Swim the English Channel (Hey, less mileage than a marathon) Texas Water Safari (260 miles of kayaking) The RAID adventure races (multi-day, multi-sport, must-do) The list of events on my bucket list obviously shows ... read more »

Preparing for Your Own Ultimate Bucket List

Athletic Woman - Stretches stock

As an endurance sport athlete currently training for the Arizona Ironman, if I created my “ultimate bucket list” it would show my bias towards triathlon, biking, and running. With enough grit, determination, training, and money you can check off your own ultimate bucket list. What else does it take? Definitely first on my list is a good certified coach. Many people undertake big-time endurance events with a book and some advice from friends. However, nothing beats a good coach who can guide you through all the little stuff that can make the difference between finishing well and ending up in the ... read more »
