Kala, an eastern Montana native, grew up involved in sports at every chance she could. She became fortunate to compete at the collegiate level in track while pursuing a Biology degree at Idaho State University. Having a passion for travel, Kala spent a semester abroad in Argentina, becoming proficient in Spanish. Her active lifestyle ultimately caused her to develop a high interest in sports rehabilitation as she battled through her own sports injuries. She pursued this interest by continuing her education at Idaho State University and obtaining a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010.
Her personal and educational experience has given Kala the opportunity to gain knowledge in sports medicine, neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics, acute rehabilitation, wellness and fall prevention. She is currently in the process of gaining her certification in ASTYM and orthopaedic specialty while engaging actively in the community.
Kala’s desire as a medical professional is to advance her knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the most effective rehabilitative treatment to her patients. Her philosophy and active lifestyle will allow her relate to and help her patients reach their goals and return to the things they enjoy just as she expects in her own life. She encourages individual wellness for each patient through healthy living and preventative actions. This idea can be approached by utilizing the most recent scientific information and acknowledging each patient in their entirety.
