Karen Walz PT, MA, OCS, FAAOMPT

Karen is the clinic director for Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy in Redmond. She has been practicing physical therapy in Central Oregon for over 25 years.

Karen completed her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Stanford University Medical School, and she has earned the esteemed designation of Orthopedic Certified Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She has also completed her certification as a Manual Therapist through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (as well as their Fellowship training), and is one of only two therapists in all of Central Oregon to have done so.

Karen is the past President for the Oregon Physical Therapy Association - the state-wide chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) - and is active with education of state and federal legislators on healthcare topics. Karen is also an ergonomic consultant and performs Ergoscience™ Physical Capacity Evaluations for injured workers. She also treats Women’s Health disorders.

She is an active outdoorsperson who enjoys hiking and fishing. She also competed in figure skating while growing up in California.
