Leslie Girard PT, DPT
Physical Therapist: Oregon Medical Group - Southtowne
Hi! My name is Leslie Girard and I am a native Canadian. I spent most of my childhood growing up outside of Washington D.C. but returned to Canada to pursue my undergraduate degree and play ice hockey at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario until 2005. After graduation I returned to the US to defrost and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
I moved to Eugene following graduation to pursue my interests in orthopedics and manual therapy. I am currently participating in the Clinical Orthopedic Residency Program through Therapeutic Associates, Inc. I also have experience and enjoy working with vestibular and balance rehabilitation as well as neurological rehabilitation.
Growing up I was a competitive ice hockey player for 10 years participating at the collegiate level and in National Development Programs. Currently, I enjoy running, cycling and triathlon for athleticism and fun. I also spend many hours swinging and juggling my kettlebells for strength and power training. Slowly but surely I am exploring the Oregon wilderness. Outside of the clinic and being active, I spend numerous hours looking up recipes and swapping new cooking ideas with my colleague, Amy.
