Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2003 and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2007. Since then, she has continued her education with specialty courses in a variety of areas which include muscle energy techniques for the spine, Pilates-based core and stability training techniques, Watsu and deep/shallow water exercise, mobilization and manipulation for the spine and extremities, treatment techniques for Temporomandibular dysfunction, and balance/vestibular training. Amanda is a certified provider of The ASTYM™ System, an APTA credentialed Clinical Instructor, and currently pursuing specialty certification in orthopedics and manual/manipulation therapy (COMT) through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
After being in a severe motor vehicle accident in 2003, Amanda experienced the rehabilitation process first-hand, along with the emotional and physical aspects of healing, and how physical therapy plays a role in functional recovery. Her practice philosophy is to ensure every person is given the time, compassion, and most effective and comprehensive treatments to allow for a quick return to activity and recovery. Apart from practicing PT, Amanda enjoys trail running, cycling, motorcycle riding, competing in triathlons, surfing, skiing and sharing a good laugh or two.
