Amanda Cochran PT, DPT
Staff Therapist: Physical Therapy - Corvallis
Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2003 and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2007. Since this she has taken specialty courses and continuing education in many areas, including muscle energy techniques for the spine, Pilates-based core and stability training techniques, Watsu and deep/shallow water exercise, mobilization and manipulation for the spine and extremities, and balance/vestibular training. Amanda is currently pursuing specialty certification in orthopedics and manual/manipulation therapy (COMT) through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
After being in a severe motor vehicle accident in 2003, Amanda directly experienced what it is like to be a patient - the emotional and physical aspects of healing and how physical therapy plays a role in functional recovery. Her practice philosophy is to ensure every person is given the time, compassion, and most effective and comprehensive treatments to ensure quick recovery and return to activity. When not practicing PT, Amanda enjoys trail running, cycling, kayaking, competing in triathlons, surfing, and sharing a good laugh or two.
