About the Clinic

TAI – Forest Grove Physical Therapy is a warm, friendly clinic that values one-on-one personal interactions with each patient. We treat everyone with respect and pride ourselves on the skilled care of our well-trained manual therapists. Treatment plans target each patient’s needs and are developed based on individual goals. We create a welcoming, comfortable environment where patients are able to establish a sincere connection with their therapist. Our two Physical Therapists and front office staff  maintain a high standard of care, which allows patients to better understand their conditions, the expectations of their rehabilitation, and how long it will take to reach their goals. Specialty offerings include ASTYM, post-surgical rehab, aquatic therapy, treatment of arthritis, neck and back care, TMJ and headache treatment, orthopedic and sports therapy, and work conditioning.

Aquatic Physical Therapy Available

Therapeutic Associates - Forest Grove Physical Therapy has partnered with the Forest Grove Aquatic Center. We are now able to offer pool therapy to our patients. People in need of exercises and activities with reduced weight-bearing and compression stresses may benefit from aquatic therapy. Julia Smetana, DPT has past experience as a certified Aquatic Exercise Instructor, so she and Scott Hein, DPT often join patients in the pool to instruct them in rehabilitation exercise that can quickly lead to an independent program. New Hire – Julia Smetana, DPT

Scott Hein, DPT and Therapeutic Associates Forest Grove Physical Therapy would like you to join us in welcoming a new physical therapist, Julia Smetana, DPT, to our clinic. Scott will continue to treat patients in the role of clinic director as he has since July 2007, and Julia will be joining him as a staff therapist. Julia graduated with her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in May 2009. She received her bachelor degree in Sports Science from the University of Idaho in 2005.
