Physical Therapist: Northeast Portland Physical Therapy

Belen is a native Californian and graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health and Human performance. While at Saint Mary’s she volunteered in the athletic training room for various sports. That love of all things sport inspired her to move to the Pacific Northwest to attend Pacific University where she graduated in 2010 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Immediately following physical therapy school she was accepted to the Kaiser Hayward Fellowship in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy program. There she completed a residency in manual therapy and is now a certified Level III manual therapist through the American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Belen enjoys working with patients of all ages and activity levels, and has a passion for sports and fitness. From the elite athlete to the weekend warrior, she loves the challenge of tailoring a meaningful skills based rehabilitation program to suit any need. In addition, she is very interested in helping the community and reaching out to local sports teams and clubs to raise awareness for knee health and injury prevention.

Outside of the clinic she can usually be found in Downtown Portland exploring the city. She considers herself a foodie and loves trying all the new and exciting cuisine Portland has to offer. Belen stays active with her passion for running and hits the local trails and running paths daily. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking, biking or surfing on the weekends.
