Elizabeth graduated in January 2006 with a Masters of Physical Therapy from Boston University. She recently completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy through Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions. Her clinical experience includes working at Children’s Hospital Boston for over two years prior to working for Therapeutic Associates of NW Portland.
She has extensive knowledge in the field of pediatric physical therapy and has attended numerous seminars specific to this area, including the Boston Bracing Course for the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, pediatric power wheelchair seating, and an ACL prevention program. Diagnoses she commonly treats on an outpatient basis include adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, torticollis, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism, cystic fibrosis, developmental hip dysplasia, pediatric cancers, downs syndrome, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, post-operative hip and knee injuries, brachial plexus injuries, developmental delay, and numerous sports-related orthopedic injuries.
Elizabeth has experience with completing standardized developmental testing, providing school therapy recommendation letters, and making recommendations for manual and power wheelchair seating systems for the pediatric population.
