Corinne Schaefer PT, DPT, SCS, ATC
- Sports Certified Specialist
- Certified Athletic Trainer
Director: Vancouver Physical Therapy
At the early age of nine, Corinne decided she was going to become a physical therapist. She pursued an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Portland to give her a better understanding of the human mind and how to communicate with patients. While studying at the University of Portland she worked as a student trainer with Division I athletics including soccer, basketball, cross country, baseball, volleyball and tennis, which inspired her to receive certification as an Athletic Trainer. Corinne then left the Northwest for Omaha, Nebraska to pursue her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at Creighton University.
Continuing to advance in her field, Corinne became a Board Certified Sports Specialist in 2010. She has completed post-doctoral education in Manual Therapy, ASTYM™, TMJ/TMD, Cycle Fit, Running Analysis and Golf Fitness. Corinne is an active member in the community through the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and volunteering with the Oregon Ballet Theater. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages, running, traveling and playing with her family.
Corinne’s greatest joy is returning a patient to their desired level of activity.
