• Masters in Physical Therapy in 1997 from Pacific University in Forest Grove after successfully completing research in video gait analysis
• Level II Certification in Manual Therapy by the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy
• Certified by ErgoScience™ to administer the Physical Work Performance Evaluation PCE/FCE

As a therapist Joel has a strong interest in helping people achieve their personal goals and determine the root cause of their pain or dysfunction. He believes that health is not simply the absence of disease and has learned that educating patients regarding their bodies is often the key to successfully treating musculoskeletal or neurological conditions. He strives to do this in a friendly atmosphere that allows each patient to take ownership for their continued rehabilitation.

In his leisure time, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and children, being active in his church, playing the trumpet, working with wood, and playing soccer.
