Dava received her bachelor of science in physical therapy degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1977. She began her career in solo private practice in Port Angeles in 1978, providing orthopedic manual therapy. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1975. She also has experience providing physical therapy to the Port Angeles schools and skilled nursing facilities. She continues to provide current care and techniques learned from ongoing continued education and experience in the areas of adult orthopedics, women’s health, and vertigo/balance rehabilitation.

Dava knows that it takes knowledge to find the cause of a person’s problem and provide appropriate treatment. Results come faster when we focus on the cause and treat it specifically. Education and experience provide the confidence to truly help people. A major role as a physical therapist is to educate people, so they can better care for themselves. People are not diseases, conditions, or body parts when they come through the door. They are human beings with a story to tell, who are in need of total rehabilitation and entitled to professional attention to achieve their goals.

Dava grew up in the Port Angeles area and enjoys international travel, playing the oboe, hiking the outdoors, and the family farm. She rides her motorcycle with her husband and sons. She flies her Cessna 182 throughout the Northwest when the sun shines.
