Staff Therapist: Ballard Physical Therapy

Joe received his Physical Therapy degree with honors from Maryville University in St. Louis in 1985. While there he played basketball and began enjoying triathlons. He transplanted to the Pacific Northwest in 1989. He has practiced Physical Therapy in a variety of settings, including hospitals, sports medicine, onsite industrial injury prevention, and private practice and has been with Therapeutic Associates since 1991. He treats musculoskeletal issues with the spine, shoulders, arms, hips, knees, ankles, and feet. He has a special interest in bicycle fitting and has been performing fits in the clinic for over 17 years.

“My three most important tools to assist my patients in restoring their capabilities are patient education, hands on manual therapy, and appropriate exercise instruction. I want to empower my patients to develop independence in managing their conditions.”

Joe leads an active lifestyle with his family and enjoys coaching his boy’s sports teams, photography, music, and cycling. He has participated in road and off-road bike racing and has bicycle toured across the United States and Europe.
