Nicole Smyth PT, DPT, OCS
Director: Fairwood Physical Therapy
After serving the Renton community for the past five years, Nicole is excited to continue her service to all past, current, and future patients as Director of Fairwood Physical Therapy beginning January 2010.
Nicole graduated from the University of Washington with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2005 and her B.A in Communications in 2001. She is highly educated in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, with a special interest in TMJ dysfunction. In 2009 she became a board certified Orthopedic Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association and continues to pursue advanced certification in manual therapy through the North American Institute of Manual Physical Therapy.
Recently elected by her peers to the Washington State Physical Therapy Association’s House of Delegates, Nicole enjoys being active in her state and national professional organizations, including legislative committee and task force participation. In addition, she has been published in Journal of the American Physical Therapy Association, Outdoor Northwest, and NW Runner.
Growing up in a military family, Nicole has traveled extensively but is now settled in Seattle. She enjoys the outdoor activities the Northwest has to offer, including biking, snowboarding, hiking, and wakeboarding. A competitive athlete participating in local triathlons and running races, Nicole strives to bring this energy and passion to her work as a physical therapist, and encourages health and wellness to her patients.
