Sports Rehabilitation: Physical Therapy & Athletic Training Center

Cycling - StockAbout Sports Rehabilitation

At Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Center of Post Falls, our sports rehabilitation programs encompass athletes of all ages and abilities. Our primary goal is to assist the individual to return to the activities they are passionate about in as effective and efficient a manner as possible.

Emphasizing “Four Corners” Principles

Our emphasis in assisting the athlete is to focus on the “Four Corners.” These common principles will not only assist the athlete in the short term, but will develop a base that the athlete can return to at any time in the future. These principles are:

  • Identify and Address the Weakest Link
  • SAID Principle- Activity Specific Training
  • Overload Principle- Safely Train to Fatigue
  • Work + Rest = Success

We help athletes to not only compensate for their weaknesses, but to make these weaknesses their strengths. We have had the opportunity to assist Professional, Olympic, Collegiate, and Top Amateur athletes return to and excel at their respective sports.

Our focus is to help others be the best and we do that by striving to be the best ourselves. We have focused on continuing our growth by becoming Board Certified in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, Manual Therapy, and Strength and Conditioning. We strive to assist others to grow as well by providing education to other medical professionals, along with volunteering to teach Sports Medicine to High School Students.

Certified Athletic Trainers

We are proud to be part of the Sports Medicine Team in North Idaho. As most of our staff are Certified Athletic Trainers, we are in a unique position to provide on-the-field medical coverage for many athletic events in the Inland Northwest. This position allows us the chance to maintain relationships with the athletic community and coaches. We feel these relationships assist in the safe return of athletes to their sport by keeping an open line of communication among the Physician, Coaching staff, and Athlete.
