Yakima is situated in the Yakima Valley, which is noted for being one of the best apple-producing areas in the world, and produces approximately 75% of all hops grown in the USA. The name originates from the Yakama Nation. The Yakama Indian Reservation is located to the south and southeast of the city of Yakima. Because of the sunny climate relative to the rest of the state, a local developer erected a sign at the edge of the city that proclaims Yakima as “The Palm Springs of Washington.” Although it is not an official city sign, it is widely known and recognized by visitors to the area.

Therapeutic Associates is a physical therapist owned and operated private company with locations in the Northwest. It is part of our culture to give back to our communities and we are pleased to offer our services, culture, and patient care philosophy to the Greater Yakima area residents. We are part of the healthcare solution, and as experts in musculoskeletal health, it is our commitment to help you maintain a healthy and active lifestyle through prevention, management, and rehabilitation. Healing, individual focus, one-on-one service, and a tradition of caring are our commitments to you.

New Clinic Names

We will meet the needs of the community through two locations:  Therapeutic Associates Yakima Physical Therapy (formerly Medical Center Physical Therapy) and Therapeutic Associates Selah Physical Therapy.

New Director

Robb Jacobs PT, DPT was born and raised in Yakima and is excited to return to his home town as the clinic director. Robb attended the University of Washington where he received a B.S. in Zoology and then attended the University of Montana for post graduate school, where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
