Dear TAI Experts: A little over a month ago, I fell down a few stairs. I landed on my left foot and backside. I think that I fell and my foot slid under me. It hurt for about 2 weeks. For the first couple days after the fall, I had to wear an ace bandage. I haven't been to the Dr. yet. I figured it was just a sprain. It has been about 1 month and a week and it still hurts when I turn my foot. I can't sit on the floor with my legs crossed. I can't sit on the couch with my left foot under my right leg. It's very uncomfortable. I also have a bump about the size of a nickel about a half an inch below my ankle bone. It's kind of on the top side of my foot. What could this bump be? Is it possible that I did something to my foot rather than my ankle? And is it normal for something like this to last this long? ... read more »

Dear TAI Experts: Hello. September of 07 I sprained my ankle pretty badly. Now, it hurts more than ever, same foot (left) under the ball thing on the inside of my foot. It is by my Achilles. I know that much. It hurts SO BAD when I walk on it. Do you think I need to go see my doctor? It's not swollen. At this point, I'd beg him for a cast even if it's not broken. It just hurts that bad. Dear TAI Experts: I have been wearing very high heels recently and usually my feet are fine, but recently a hard lump has started to stick out next to my ankle. There is no pain anymore but the lump is still sticking out? My knee also feels very weak, like the knee cap has been twisted, and so was wondering if the two are connected?
