Josh Hagemeyer, PT, DPT

Clinic Director | Physical Therapist

Josh grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon and later moved to Eugene where he graduated from the University of Oregon. While at the U of O he played football from 2001-2005 and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Physiology. After becoming a personal trainer, Josh returned to school to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University and graduated in the top of his class with honors.

Josh is currently pursuing advanced certifications as a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. He enjoys working with a variety of musculoskeletal disorders of both the spine and extremities in the young and aging population. Josh’s clinical interests include rehabilitation of sports injuries, repetitive overuse injuries, post-surgical conditions, dizziness/vestibular rehabilitation, and manual therapy. He is certified in ASTYM, an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization technique.

Josh loves the outdoors. His hobbies include kayaking, fishing, golfing, camping, and hiking. He enjoys spending time with his wife Kari, who works as a special education teacher, and his children Griffin and Ella.

Valerie Hilton, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
  • Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy

Valerie started employment with Therapeutic Associates in 2006, immediately after graduating from the University of Puget Sound with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In 2007, she joined the company’s first cohort of orthopedic residents to advance her training in manual therapy and clinical reasoning. She completed this residency and became a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist (OCS) in 2009.

Valerie prides herself in being an excellent general orthopedic physical therapist. She specializes in headaches, spine rehabilitation, upper and lower extremity dysfunction, repetitive strain injuries, manual therapy and is ASTYM™ certified. She also enjoys treating vestibular, ocular, and balance dysfunction. Valerie is committed to providing high quality patient-centered care and empowering each patient to help achieve their personal goals and highest level of function.

Valerie is a native Oregonian, having grown up in Florence, attended the University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree, and lived in Eugene since graduating from PT school. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.

Kimberly Van Winkle - Gateway Physical Therapy

Kimberly Van Winkle, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Kimberly earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University and has been a practicing physical therapist for five years. She was drawn to physical therapy because she wants to help people achieve their goals of moving better with less pain.

Between Kimberly’s wanderlust and her father’s military career, she has lived in or visited almost all fifty states but considers Eugene her home. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys running, climbing mountains, and being in the outdoors. One of her hobbies is crocheting and she often makes her own original patterns and creations.

Gateway - Kelly Finney

Kelly Finney, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Kelly is originally from Michigan but lived in Chicago for about a year after school. For her undergraduate studies, Kelly went to Western Michigan University where she studied exercise science and graduated with a minor in biology. Following undergrad, Kelly attended Oakland University for PT school.

Kelly is a certified STOTT Pilates rehab instructor for Mat and Reformer. Kelly is passionate about treating the whole body with this method through specific and intentional movements. In addition, Kelly has completed two NAIOMT courses (level 1 and 2) and strives to incorporate her knowledge of Manual Therapy into treatment. Kelly has a passion for working with people one on one. She loves movement of all kinds and enjoys helping others return to a better quality of life through improved mobility.

Kelly loves to be active and discover the outdoors with her family. She can often be found spending her time hiking, skiing, boating at the lake, golfing, attending a Barre 3 workout, or biking. Kelly was a collegiate gymnast and still makes time to watch gymnastic competitions. In addition, she is passionate about healthy cooking, discovering local restaurants, baking, gardening, and shopping.

Sierra Hill - Gateway Physical Therapy

Sierra Hill, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Sierra grew up in Bend, Oregon but lived in Eugene for her undergraduate studies at University of Oregon where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology. Sierra then ventured to Colorado for graduate school at the University of Colorado Boulder where she assisted in conducting clinical research in cardiovascular aging and taught anatomy and exercise physiology at a college level. She then attended the University of Colorado Denver for PT school.

Sierra was initially drawn to physical therapy as a profession because she has always had an interest in the complexities of the human body and implementing a holistic approach to improving health and well-being. Sierra desires to help her patients return to their most important life activities and she wants to encourage engagement and the patient’s active role in the healing process. Sierra believes that physical therapy requires true team-work between the PT and patient, she wants to help guide patients and facilitate active recovery and ownership in their healing.

Sierra has a very sweet, large tabby cat named Ollie who was the best study buddy during grad school. Sierra’s family still lives in Central Oregon and she frequently spends time with them on the weekends. In her free time Sierra enjoys spending time with friends, family, and being outdoors. Sierra has pursued many outdoor activities in the last few years including hiking, cycling, running, and skiing. Sierra also often practices yoga, reads, watches movies, and likes to listen to music.

Joshua Gilette - Gateway Physical Therapy

Joshua Gillette, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Joshua was born, raised, and attended school in Eugene, Oregon. Joshua graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Lane Community College in June of 2017. While in school Joshua completed clinical rotations in both outpatient and inpatient physical therapy settings. Joshua’s areas of interest include helping patients who experience low back pain as well as working with patients who have spine conditions.

In his free time Joshua enjoys playing music. He plays the guitar, bass, piano, and drums. Joshua also likes to play ping pong and soccer.

Licensed Massage Therapist*

Michael graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Lane Community College in 2015, and as Licensed Massage Therapist and dedicated amateur athlete Michael has been involved in the health and fitness movement for over 25 years. Michael is excited to join the Dreamclinic team at Therapeutic Associates to bring the best in bodywork and massage to the Eugene community. When not in the clinic you can find Michael on the bike trails, golf courses, ski slopes and single tracks all over the Pacific Northwest.

Lauren Sullivan

Administrative Coordinator

Lauren is originally from Redwood City, California and she moved to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Physiology. While studying at UO Lauren’s focus was on becoming an athletic trainer but she later changed her career path to office management after she gained experience working as an aide at another physical therapy clinic.

In her free time Lauren enjoys biking, hiking, playing games, completing puzzles and doing outdoor activities. Lauren also loves to watch sports and enjoys competing in soccer, volleyball, and disc golf.
