Portland Dance Medicine & Therapy Services

Improving Dance Performance Through Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation

90% of dancers will sustain an injury over the course of their training. It is important to know where to turn for personalized care to return to dancing at ones’ highest capacity. It is our mission to help dancers and performers return to the activities they love.

Our Dance Medicine Program applies a scientific understanding of athletic performance with an artistic appreciation for the human body in motion. We help dancers move through the healing process after an injury and focus on proper technique and alignment to prevent future injuries.

Our Dance Medicine Services:

We provide a 40 min Pre-Pointe Screening test to identify if a dancer is physically fit and ready for the demands of pointe work. Our services also include:

  • Dance Technique Centered Rehabilitation
  • Dance Conditioning
  • Balance, Posture & Placement Exercises
  • Strengthening Exercises
  • Injury Prevention
  • Pre-pointe Assessment
  • Dance Nutrition
  • Dance Educator Seminars

As a physical therapist, I make every effort to provide a holistic approach to the care of my patients. Each treatment is personalized and specifically tailored to the individual needs of performers.
