John Parr - Gresham Physical Therapy

John Parr, PT

John has been the director of Therapeutic Associates Gresham Physical Therapy since 1998. He earned his undergraduate degree from Willamette University and his graduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. John is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy, a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association, and a certified ASTYM provider. John enjoys both learning and teaching. He has been certified as a Clinical Instructor through the APTA and as a clinical mentor through Therapeutic Associates. He continues to broaden his knowledge and skills through advanced coursework in manual therapy, exercise, and functional movement patterns.

John has been certified as a golf fitness instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute. His TPI training enables him to help golfers of all abilities perform their best.

John grew up in Wenatchee, WA and has lived in Oregon since 1985. He and his wife Tamie have 2 sons, Ellis and William. John enjoys playing racquetball, running, biking, and stand-up paddle boarding, and he is an avid golfer.

Angela Gracia - Gresham Physical Therapy

Angela Gracia, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Angela received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in 2017. During her clinical rotations she gained experience working with a wide range of patients including those with orthopedic, neurological, pelvic floor, and sports injuries. While at Regis she participated in a global immersion program in Nicaragua where she had the opportunity to work with children with cerebral palsy and initiate a continuing education program with the local physical therapy program in Managua.

While she enjoys working with patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, she is highly interested in the science behind chronic pain, manual therapy, and pelvic floor rehab. Angela’s philosophy is providing patient centered care that is evidence based and individualized. She believes in the power of knowledge and educating her patients on their recovery while providing them with the tools to advocate for their own care.

She is pursuing manual therapy certification through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and plans to start courses to treat pelvic floor disorders through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Angela was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. After undergrad, she taught high school Biology and Chemistry for three years before returning to graduate school. She is new to the Pacific Northwest and eager to spend her weekends exploring the city of Portland. She enjoys spending time outdoors running, hiking, and biking. When the weather is cooler, she enjoys cuddling up with a book or her guilty pleasure, binge watching Netflix.

Michelle Orelli - Therapeutic Associates Gresham Physical Therapy

Michelle Orelli, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Michelle received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford in 2014. She started her career as a traveling physical therapist working in New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington. She lived in New York for 3 years and worked in an outpatient clinic affiliated with the Hospital for Special Surgery. Michelle has treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and post-operative injuries and has experience in home care and aquatic therapy as well.

Michelle is a certified Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and enjoys educating not only students but patients as well. Evidence-based practice is the foundation of her treatments and she applies the most current research to her manual therapy and exercise prescriptions.

Aside from physical therapy, Michelle loves travelling domestically and internationally. She is very excited to be back in the Northwest and is eager to explore more of this beautiful state. She loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking and camping. Michelle is currently attempting to visit all National Parks in our country.

Gresham - Riley Johnson

Riley Johnson

Riley is pursuing a B.S. in Health Sciences at Portland State University. She plans to graduate in the fall of 2019. After graduation, she has plans to pursue physical therapy school. Prior to PSU, Riley received an Associates of Arts Transfer Degree from Clackamas Community College and graduated from La Salle Prep in Milwaukie, OR. She loves being able to help patients feel better while also learning along the way.

In her spare time, she enjoys singing in Portland’s Singing Christmas Tree. She also enjoys swimming, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Gresham - Matt Osterling

Matt is a NASM certified personal trainer who operates a personal training company with a focus on mobility and functional strength. His ultimate goal is to make personal training accessible to everyone. Matt has been a certified personal trainer since 2017 and has been working in the health and fitness industry since 2015.

Matt has been playing sports since he was 4 years old. He has played, or attempted to play, any sport he has come across and has found a passion for lacrosse, soccer, and basketball.

Matt received his undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Idaho. In his free time, Matt and his wife Courtney enjoy exploring Oregon with their two dogs, Boss and Archer. You can find them hiking, fishing, or kayaking in the Columbia River Gorge.

Gresham - Carly Petesz

Carly Petesz

Exercise Specialist

Carly was born and raised in the Gresham area, where she spent a lot of her childhood working on and learning about cars with her older brother and father. During this time, she realized her passion for learning how things work and function, which lead to her fascination of the human body and the mechanics behind it.

After graduating from Gresham High School in 2015, Carly originally thought she wanted to become an occupational therapist, but after needing physical therapy herself, she realized that was what she really wanted to do!

Carly is currently enrolled at Mt. Hood Community College where she is beginning her journey in becoming a physical therapist assistant. Being able to work with patients with a variety of different injuries and/or obstacles gives Carly the opportunity to get her foot in the door and learn from the best!

In her spare time, she is usually camping, fishing, or planning her next road trip.
