Jason grew up on an apple orchard in a small town in central Wisconsin. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of WI-La Crosse. Upon completion, he attended Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN where he pursuied a Master’s of Theological Studies. After three years of plumbing the depths of some of life’s most philosophically challenging questions, he returned to UW-La Crosse where he earned his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Upon graduation in 2010, he moved to Eugene, OR for generally the same reason anyone moves from Wisconsin to Oregon…namely, to escape the harsh winters and, perhaps even more, the unrelenting mosquitoes. He met his wife, Tori, in Eugene and they now have two little children under 3 years old. Thus, while Jason’s previous favorite hobbies included long-distance running, weight training, hiking, and most outdoor activities, his current favorite hobbies consist of changing diapers, cleaning little grubby hands and faces, rocking his kids to sleep, and playing “throw-your-son-up-in-the-air-and-catch-him” several billion times.
Jason’s professional specializations include Vestibular Rehabilitation (ie; patients who are “dizzy”). He completed an intensive residency program in this area of specialty and has presented around the state regarding topics related to dizziness. He also has a keen interest in general orthopedic and sport physical therapy and is passionate about assisting people return to their previous functional activities or sport.
What is your favorite Pandora Station?
Hmmm…tough one. I suppose it depends on the mood. I really love classical music. Generally, anything relaxing. However, my son generally requests “Blippi songs.” (Think, “Pee-wee Herman” dialed-down a couple notches).
What is your favorite Sport to watch? To Play?
Favorite sport to watch is Green Bay Packers Football. Love playing baseball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, basketball. Is running a sport you can play? If so, trail running.
If you could only eat one food or meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Probably one that had all the necessary components vital to life. I get more excited about health than I do flavor. Sorry, I know it’s not a very exciting answer. It generally gets some eye rolls.
What is your Starbucks order?
