Alexandra “Sasha” Scamarone is a board-certified acupuncturist licensed in the state of Oregon. Sasha spent her early days in North Carolina, where she ran cross-country and track in high school and later took up yoga, biking, and salsa dancing. Physical activity has always brought her great joy and she is passionate about helping people regain and optimize their function and health with acupuncture and other Chinese medicine therapies.
Sasha completed a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in 2012, graduating with Honors in Research. In her clinical practice, she strives to integrate evidence-based acupuncture research with traditional Chinese medicine therapies. Sasha has five years of clinical experience and has treated patients in a variety of clinical settings. Most recently, she has practiced in a group acupuncture clinic and at an integrated primary care clinic. Sasha has worked alongside primary care providers, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers, and is a strong proponent of an integrative approach to healthcare. She currently sees patients at Therapeutic Associates Lake Oswego and at an integrative urgent care clinic in Portland focused on injury rehabilitation. Sasha is fluent in Spanish and French. Outside of work, you will find her spending time in nature, cooking, or salsa dancing with her husband and son.

I like to watch the World Cup soccer games. I enjoy practicing yoga, salsa dancing, and taking brisk nature walks.
