Kyra joined NW Portland Physical Therapy in August of 2014 and receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Colorado. She completed sports medicine and orthopedic rotations in Vail and Steamboat Springs, working with recreational and professional athletes of all ages, and a pediatric orthopedic rotation at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, where she worked with children and families in the sports medicine clinic and the medical staff in the gait and motion analysis lab. She now treats the entire spectrum of orthopedic impairments in patients of all ages as she works towards certifications in manual and orthopedic specialties. Kyra has devoted additional time to community outreach through injury prevention programs for local athletes.
Kyra is from Portland and was an avid soccer player before attending University of San Francisco to play at the Division I level. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology at University of Oregon in 2007 and then spent time living and working in Costa Rica and Bend, Oregon before pursuing her DPT in Denver. She enjoys running, soccer, yoga, snowboarding and surfing and feels extremely fortunate to be back in the Pacific Northwest where she can enjoy it all.
