Todd Cruz - Therapeutic Associates Northwest Portland Physical Therapy

Todd J Cruz, PT, MS

Clinic Director | Physical Therapist

Todd graduated from Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) in 1992 and went on to earn his Master of Physical Therapy in 1995 at the Mayo School of Health-Related Sciences in Rochester, MN. He started practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy with Therapeutic Associates in 1995, with an emphasis on spine care using exercise and manual therapy techniques.

In 1999, Todd became Director of NW Portland Physical Therapy, and while continuing with spine and general orthopedic care, his practice increased emphasis on working with local high school and recreational athletes. He is certified in Sportsmetrics Performance Training, ASTYM™ technique, and is a Level II TPI Golf Fitness Medical Professional. Todd has worked with cyclists and triathletes since 1996, performing bike fitting to improve their comfort, efficiency, and power on the bike.

Outside of work, Todd enjoys cycling, snowboarding, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Molly. Additionally, he is constantly trying to keep up with their two children, Logan and Kaitlyn.

Bowen Luan - Therapeutic Associates Northwest Portland Physical Therapy

Bowen Luan, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Bowen received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cell, and Development Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Bowen takes pride in creating an enjoyable environment for his patients to reach their goals and achieve optimal outcomes. He believes in evidence-based, personalized physical therapy programs that empower his patients and allow them to champion their own rehabilitation. Bowen provides various skilled physical therapy services including general orthopedics rehabilitation, sports rehab, manual therapy, post-operative care, and pain management. He has had experience ranging from helping post-operative patients return to their prior level of function, to assisting collegiate and professional athletes return to sport, and everything in between.

Aside from physical therapy, Bowen is passionate about powerlifting and working on his personal fitness goals. He enjoys exploring the local food scene, trying new hiking trails, working on his car, building computers, and spending time with his girlfriend, Jamie.

Saylor Martin- Therapeutic Associates Northwest Portland Physical Therapy

Saylor Martin

Exercise Specialist

Saylor is a Redmond, Washington native where she spent most of high school rowing for the local club team. Following an injury, Saylor was transitioned to the coxswain role for her team and loved the new position. From there, she was recruited to the University of Wisconsin- Madison where she competed as a Division I Varsity Coxswain for the Badgers and graduated in 2019 with her B.S. in Kinesiology- Exercise Science. While in Madison, she competed 3x at the NCAA championships and earned a historic Grand Final placement with her teammates in 2017. Outside of competition, Saylor has a background coaching rowing and spent several semesters volunteering with the University of Wisconsin’s Adapted Fitness program, where she worked with clients with diverse physical abilities.

Saylor moved to Portland in July of 2020 and is currently applying to Physical Therapy programs. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, backpacking trips, skiing, trying new restaurants around Portland, and taking care of her houseplants.

Emma Mulvey - Therapeutic Associates Northwest Portland Physical Therapy

Emma Mulvey

Exercise Specialist

Emma grew up in Marin County, California but left the sunny state to attend the University of Oregon. During this time, she played for the University of Oregon Women’s Club Lacrosse team. She has over 10 years of experience playing lacrosse and has participated in multiple regional and national tournaments during that time.

While in college, Emma assisted in teaching multiple anatomy lab course and a medical terminology course as well. Since graduating in June of 2020 with her B. S. in Human Physiology, she has moved to Portland as she prepares to apply to a few DPT programs in the coming year.

Contrary to her science background, Emma loves to be creative during her free time. She loves to sew, paint, draw, crotchet and many other hobbies of that nature.
