Amy Shepro Tanous - Scholls Physical Therapy

Amy Shepro Tanous, PT, DPT

Clinic Director | Physical Therapist

Amy was raised in Southwest Portland and attended Lincoln High School. She then traveled to southern California and attended Occidental College in Los Angeles. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2006 and participated in NCAA DIII softball for the Tigers. She obtained her graduate degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2009, earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Amy returned to the Pacific Northwest and began her career as a physical therapist in 2009 at Therapeutic Associates – Beaverton Physical Therapy. In May 2012, Amy transitioned to her role of Director of Physical Therapy at the new Scholls location.

She currently lives in Beaverton with her husband and enjoys working on their home, gardening, playing with their dog, hiking, camping, and playing slow pitch softball.

Caroline Rentenaar - Scholls

Caroline Rentenaar, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Caroline was raised near the Portland metro area, in St. Helens. She became a Beaver alumnus after earning her Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in 2010. In June 2014, she obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University in Spokane, WA. There, she gained experience working in a variety of settings, including orthopedic, neurologic, acute, and rehabilitation. She then returned home to Oregon to begin working for TAI – Scholls Physical Therapy. Caroline is ASTYM certified and is currently working towards more advanced certificates in manual therapy, including the Mulligan approach and NAIOMT.

In her time away from the office, Caroline enjoys being outdoors as much as possible playing softball, hiking, snowboarding, riding ATVs, and playing with her dog Aix. She also loves to cook, bake, travel, and spend time with friends and family.

Lauren Post, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Lauren began working for Therapeutic Associates in 2012, two years after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. There, she played four years of DIII Volleyball for the Lutes and met her husband, Jordan, a Beaverton native, who convinced her to move to the Portland area following graduation. Lauren initially worked at the TAI – Beaverton location as an Aide and Front Office Assistant. She returned to school at Mt. Hood CC in 2015 to obtain her degree and license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and began working at TAI – Scholls after graduation in June of 2017.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends and family, chasing around her two cats – Grace and Ty, playing slowpitch softball, reading, and attending sporting events – especially baseball games. Lauren currently lives in Beaverton with her husband.

Anette Garske - Scholls Physical Therapy

Annette Garske

Annette has been with Scholls Physical Therapy since 2013 as both a personal trainer and physical therapy aide. She has her undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of California, San Diego. Annette has been a fitness professional since 1986 and holds certifications from American College of Sports Medicine and American Council on Exercise. She is also a STOTT certified Pilates instructor. She has a broad range of experience working with both adults and youth and is active in the community working with sports conditioning at the youth and high school levels.

Christine Waczak

Administrative Coordinator

Christine came to Oregon from Texas over 22 years ago and has been a part of this community since 1995. She earned her degree from North Lake College in Irving Texas and co-owned a fundraising company for 18 years working with school and youth based programs. She has 2 boys that attended Southridge High school where she was the team mom for the football team and actively involved with the Lacrosse team. She has been an avid sports photographer and has enjoyed recording the lives of players throughout the years. Christine is the tournament director for Tualatin Valley Youth Lacrosse running two state wide Lacrosse tournaments sponsored by Therapeutic Associates. Christine volunteers with the American Red Cross and the local high schools and has been our Front Office Coordinator for the past 4 years.

She currently lives in King City and has one son at OSU where she is President of the Moms club for Lambda Chi Alpha and another who is living and working locally. She enjoys her volunteer work and traveling to see friends and family.
