Maggie Blanchard brings valuable massage therapy expertise to Therapeutic Associates Valley Physical Therapy South. She is an Oregon Board licensed massage therapist with 8 years of experience specializing in multiple approaches of massage and body work. Maggie received her massage education at Myotherapy College of Utah in Salt Lake City, where she studied Swedish, Sports, Spa, Pregnancy, Reflexology, Chair and many other forms of massage.
Maggie moved from Utah to Oregon in 2006 where she maintained a private practice in Monmouth and did volunteer work at Anduluz water birth center for postpartum mothers. Maggie demonstrates a strong natural empathy for people who may be experiencing pain and other forms of physical discomfort. Her sensitivity and success in massage therapy is a direct result of her personal empathy for her patients as well as her professional skill. Maggie is also an excellent listener and has a special talent for connecting with people in a way that facilitates a sense of calm and peace. During her practice, she has enjoyed providing therapeutic massage for many conditions including, whiplash injuries, sprains and strains, repetitive stress injury and muscle spasms/knots.
Maggie is married and enjoys living in the small town of Monmouth. When not working on her massage skills with patients and clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping and biking. She also enjoys reading and crochet.
