Chester graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1999 from Far Eastern University – NRMF Manila, Philippines. He has worked in various settings, including acute care (hospital), outpatient, and home health therapy. In 2009 he decided to continue his career in the United States, initially working as a traveling PT at a sub-acute facility in Medford, Oregon. Chester eventually moved North, closer to Portland and further developed his skills working with the geriatric population, in which he later earned a certification as an Exercise Expert for Aging Adults from the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy (APTA). Chester is also certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance, and later became Board Certified as a Geriatrics Clinical Specialist in 2017. He continues to advance his skills with Functional Manual Therapy through IPA (Institute of Physical Art), orthopedic therapies, strength and conditioning, injury prevention and sports rehabilitation.
When not at work, Chester loves to keep himself active working out in the gym, attending spin/cycling class, swimming and rock climbing. He also enjoys the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest hiking trails and cycling. He loves to travel and seek culinary and cultural adventures.
