Emma was born and raised in the small coastal town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Growing up, she enjoyed many sports, camping, and spending the summers on Vinalhaven Island. Emma attended the University of Vermont, earning her Bachelor’s in Exercise and Movement Science in 2013 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. Since graduating school, Emma has been working towards her advanced certification as a McKenzie therapist to apply a mechanical diagnosis and treatment to spinal and extremity pain. She has special interest working with patients with sports injuries, spinal dysfunction, neurological conditions, chronic pain, and balance training.
Emma is very passionate about empowering individuals with the appropriate tools to help themselves. She believes in the powerful effects of activity and exercise to promote healing and improve strength for performing functional activities.
Outside of the clinic Emma loves to be outside. She has a longstanding passion for surfing and backcountry skiing. She also loves hiking, camping, and running.
