Maren Bisson - Therapeutic Associates Madison Park Physical Therapy

Maren Bisson, PT, DPT

Clinic Director | Doctor Of Physical Therapy

Maren received her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND in 1998. During her college career, she was a four-year starter on the women’s basketball team. After basketball, Maren became a running and triathlon enthusiast competing in over 40 marathons and 3 full Ironman races. She has been practicing in Washington since 1999. She completed her post-graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2019

Maren’s clinical interest and experience has been in general orthopedics. Her experience has given her a keen ability in treating movement-related impairments, athletic injuries, overuse, and patients in dealing with challenges of the aging process. Maren strives to provide a holistic approach in her treatment style with utilizing her manual therapy skills, educating patients and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery.

You can find Maren checking out new restaurants, working out, traveling to see family or seeking out new adventures with her husband, Jesse.

Rachel Griffith

Rachel Griffith, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Rachel received her Bachelors of Science in Physiology from the University of Washington, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was involved in many physical therapy activities while in school, including Tango for Parkinson’s and Manual Therapy Club. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Rachel’s physical therapy philosophy includes a holistic approach to health and wellness for all patient populations. She aims to utilize the skills she has learned to optimize and advance movement in society. Her goal is to provide high quality, individualized patient care. Her clinical interests are in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.

Rachel grew up in the small town of Cashmere, Washington, and it was there that her love of the outdoors began. When she is not working, you can find her hiking, camping, running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Jacob Kmiecik - Therapeutic Associates Madison Park Physical Therapy

Jacob Kmiecik, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Jacob received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Creighton University before continuing on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University as well. Jacob coached elementary level basketball for six years and received the Eagle Award from St. Paul Elementary School for giving back to the school. Jacob’s clinical interests include a wide range of orthopedic ailments including post-surgical care, as well as, sports related injuries. He believes everyone should receive care centered around the patient and their needs. Being able to help someone get back into the game or be able to keep up with their grandkids keeps Jacob motivated as a clinician.

Outside of work you can find Jacob skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, or reading a good book in the sun. He also prides himself on his Midwest roots, being born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.

Kristen Van Fossen - Therapeutic Associates Madison Park Physical Therapy

Kristen Van Fossen, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Kristen received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Washington, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. During her time there she gained experience in working with a wide variety of patient populations including those with orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions. She has instructed boxing classes for those with Parkinson’s and also became a Stay Active and Independent for Life certified instructor.

She decided to pursue physical therapy after she discovered how it combines her love for science and the human body, with the opportunity to empower her patients to use their own bodies to heal and prevent future injuries. Kristen enjoys using both manual techniques and exercises specific to her patient’s goals in order for them to return to the activities they love. Her special interests include spine, hip and knee injuries, balance and fall prevention, and athletic injuries.

Kristen is originally from Northern California, but fell in love with the PNW after moving here for school. She loves anything that involves getting outside including snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. You can also find her testing out new restaurants in the Seattle area or choosing a fun recipe to cook.
