Hope Hampton - Hazel Dell Physical Therapy

Hope Hampton, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Hope received her bachelor’s degree in Music Business from Boise State University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University. She recently relocated to the Portland metro area from Idaho and is excited to help patients of all ages and activity levels overcome musculoskeletal injuries.

Hope’s path toward a career in physical therapy is unique. After many years working as a professional violinist in string quartets and community orchestras, she noticed that many musicians experience injuries and are unsure of who to turn for help with these injuries. This sparked her desire to pursue a career in physical therapy. She is uniquely qualified to treat musicians because she can look through both the lens of a musician and the lens of a physical therapist.

Hope’s treatment philosophy incorporates a combination of manual therapy techniques and functional/sport-specific exercises. She is pursuing continued education in ASTYM (tool assisted manual therapy) and advanced manual therapy and assessment techniques through NAIOMT (North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy).

When she is not working, Hope enjoys playing violin, piano, and guitar. She also loves to spend her weekends hiking, trail running, rock climbing, mountain biking, camping, and exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
