What is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Pilates has been shown to be invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor, but also as an important adjunct to sports training and physical rehabilitation. Pilates works well for people of all ages and physical abilities. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women rebounding from pregnancy, and people who are at various stages of physical rehabilitation.

Meet Our Pilates Instructor
Jessa Freeman
Jessa is currently a Physical Therapy Aide and Pilates Instructor with Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy Camas, as well as a very experienced fitness professional. Pilates is her passion and she enjoys using it to help others with their wellness journeys. She found Pilates in High School as a way to cross train as a dancer. Later, scoliosis and a chronic injury led her back to Pilates. Since 2010 she has taught various forms of fitness including Pilates, yoga, and strength training. She has special interest and pre/postnatal fitness and is a certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.
