Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Workshop – Eugene, OR

Strong Through the Shift

Pelvic Health in the Menopause Transition

Strong Through the Shift is a 2-hour interactive workshop led by the pelvic floor physical therapists at Therapeutic Associates West Eugene, designed to help women understand what’s happening in their bodies throughout the menopause transition and what they can do to feel strong, supported, and confident through it.

We’ll explore how hormonal shifts impact bladder function, bowel health, sexual function, core stability, prolapse risk, and musculoskeletal changes. This session combines education with practical strategies, including movement, breathwork, and evidence-informed pelvic floor physical therapy principles to support strength, mobility, and symptom management.

Participants will leave with clear, actionable tools to support their pelvic health through the menopause transition, and a better understanding of whether pelvic floor physical therapy in Eugene is the right next step for them.

Why Attend?

The menopause transition brings significant hormonal and tissue changes that directly affect pelvic floor function – yet many women in Eugene and the surrounding West Eugene community are told that symptoms like leaking, urgency, pain with intimacy, pressure or core weakness are “just a part of the gig.”

They are common – but they are treatable.

Understanding what is happening physiologically empowers women to seek appropriate care, implement preventative strategies, and maintain strength and function long term. Early education and targeted pelvic floor physical therapy intervention can reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, and prevent progression of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Who Should Attend?

The workshop is designed for women in perimenopause, menopause or postmenopausal who:

  • Notice change in bladder or bowel control
  • Experience pelvic pressure or heaviness
  • Have pain or changes with intimacy
  • Feel core weakness or instability
  • Want to proactively support their pelvic health during midlife

No prior pelvic floor knowledge or pelvic health physical therapy experience is required. This workshop is open to all women in the Eugene, OR area — whether you’re just starting to notice symptoms or looking to deepen your understanding of pelvic health.
