If you answered yes, then you are not alone. In fact, 80% of adults experience low back pain at some point in their lifetimes. It is the fifth most common reason for all physician visits in the US. Traditional treatment options include over the counter medications, rest/wait and see, imaging which is costly with little return, and surgery. Now, just because you have low back pain doesn’t mean you’re headed for surgery. Just like most of us experience low back pain, most of us can get better faster, more affordably, and more conveniently by seeking evidence-based physical therapy treatment right in our own neighborhoods. Often, low back pain falls into one of three treatment-based classification protocols, which include manipulation, stabilization, and repeated movements. The numbers are significant for what impact these treatments can make when you seek treatment early. In fact, spinal manipulation can have a 95% success rate of pain relief after only two visits!
