Anya is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance from Eastern Oregon University. At EOU, she interned in the school’s human physiology lab where she administered high performance testing for tactical, collegiate, and recreational athletes as well as providing health and wellness testing and education. In the physiology lab, she also conducted a pilot study on the impacts of post-exercise hot water immersion as a heat adaptation tool for wildland firefighters. Anya is continuing her education at the University of Minnesota where she is working towards a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. After PT school, she plans to return to the PNW to work as a physical therapist and trainer.
Anya has a wide range of competitive athletic experience, including soccer, mid-distance running, and wrestling. Recreationally, she enjoys bouldering, trail running, calisthenics, weightlifting, and swimming and always loves being introduced to a new sport! Anya also has a passion for the arts. In her free time, she loves to sing, play piano, draw and paint.
