Pronouns: She, Her, Hers
Shortly before joining the team, Arie graduated from Portland State University in 2014, double majoring in Public Health Education and Philosophy. During her time there, she completed a two-year program planning internship through the Multicultural Integrated Kidney Education (MIKE) Program, where she advocated for kidney health among underserved high school students throughout Portland and Hillsboro, Oregon. She simultaneously took on the roles of a Peer Health Educator and Student Coordinator, quickly embracing the beauty of empowering individuals and streamlining processes.
Her primary focus in healthcare administration lies in patient advocacy to ultimately enhance chronic disease prevention. She is particularly drawn to challenging unfortunate barriers to receiving high-quality medical care, such as the endless depths of health insurance denials and soaring deductibles. Regardless of the ever-changing world of health policy, she is eager to take on any tricky case and will fight for you every step of the way.
In her free time, she thoroughly enjoys adventures with her daughter, however you’ll also find her researching neuroscience and human behavior change, eating sushi, and writing acoustic songs. She has been singing from the time she can remember, playing piano by ear for nearly 20 years, and picked up guitar accidentally in 2011. You’ll find a sample or two of her instrumentals if you’re ever placed on hold! When she’s not working, mothering, researching, or spilling coffee on her outfit, you’ll find her flexing her creative muscles and doing her best to cultivate the ultimate balance between it all.
