Carsten received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington in 2016. He developed a passion for physical therapy while volunteering at the Children’s Therapy Unit in Puyallup, Washington and spent the next 2 years working as a rehab aide in an outpatient clinic in Seattle, Washington. Carsten is a service-driven individual who loves to be active. He played 2 years of college basketball at Wisconsin Lutheran College before transferring to EWU and continues to love the game as well as spending time outside running and hiking.
Carsten earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon in 2021. During his time at GFU, Carsten continued to develop his passion of service towards people, especially those with chronic pain conditions. He also has clinical interests in orthopedic injuries, running, sports performance, and post-operative rehabilitation. Carsten is passionate about balancing his manual skills, educational interventions, and strength/endurance exercises to create a unique patient-centered care plan for people of all backgrounds to achieve their goals.
Outside of the clinic, Carsten enjoys spending time with his friends and family including his wife, Megan, daughter, Shea and dog, Finley. He enjoys running, hiking, basketball, tennis and grilling.
