Clarissa received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO. Before that she spent time all over the country growing up as a military kid, including a few years abroad in England. She has always been active, beginning her fitness journey with gymnastics, and transitioning to water sports while living in Florida. Then transitioned to cycling and triathlons upon moving to Florida and eventually started cycling competitively with living in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
During college, Clarissa played rugby and also became a certified CrossFit coach. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Clarissa continued to coach CrossFit and ultimately decided to go to Physical Therapy school. The coaching background in Clarissa’s life plays a role in her approach to physical therapy. She recently completed an Orthopaedic Residency to become a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. She is passionate about mentoring patients to facilitate an understanding of movement and activity.
Apart from physical therapy, Clarissa loves to lift, run, bike and paddleboard. She is passionate about training her dogs. She always loves a challenge. She continues to coach CrossFit part-time.
