About

Ellen was born and raised in Olympia, Washington and grew up participating in all the great outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. From a young age, she found a passion for all things dance! After high school, she attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle to pursue her BFA in Dance. Following this, she performed professionally in contemporary dance regionally, and on international tours. During this time, she was also developing a love for teaching movement to students of all ages. This joy for teaching is what led her to physical therapy. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington.

Ellen enjoys treating all orthopedic and sports injuries with a special interest in hypermobile patients, dancers, gymnasts, circus artists and figure skaters. Her years in the dance studio have taught her the importance of fine-tuning movement for optimal performance and a love for creative exercise prescription. Ellen believes physical therapy should be fun and rewarding and enjoys fostering relationships with her patients. In addition to traditional physical therapy treatments, Ellen brings the unique skill set of Dry Needling to Monroe. She has received extensive training in this technique which is effective for many orthopedic conditions and proven to get you out of pain and back to your activities faster.

Outside of the clinic, Ellen is married, mom to her daughters born in 2022 and 2025 and a dog mom. She enjoys the great outdoors and can be found hiking and backpacking in the summers. DIY projects are in constant motion around her home between her and her husband. She enjoys gardening in the sunshine and knitting, reading, baking and puzzles during the rainy season. Dance remains a part of Ellen’s life as she continues to take ballet recreationally, substitute teach classes and enjoys sharing the joy of dance with her family in their kitchen or wherever the mood strikes.
