Gillian received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 1998 and gained a vast and diverse experience in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation. In 2013 she started a special interest in treating abdominal and pelvic floor conditions as a Pelvic Health Physical Therapy specialist. She has expertise in treating bowel and bladder issues, pelvic organ prolapse, painful intercourse and diastasis recti. Gillian understands the impact that pain and pelvic floor dysfunctions can have on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause and other natural life transitions. She has a deep passion for creating efficient strategies so that people can enjoy the activities they love and continue to care for themselves and their loved ones without suffering.
Gillian also has a passion for teaching and is an APTA-certified clinical instructor. She also teaches community classes and online programs with a focus on Pelvic Health conditions. She continues to pursue greater understanding of pelvic health and manual therapy through certifications with the APTA NAIOMT. She also has advanced training in visceral manipulation through The Barral Institute and advanced training in treating the fascial system through the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM).
Aside from physical therapy, Gillian absolutely delights in exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two children. She also loves a good cup of tea, practices tai chi and enjoys playing the piano.
